Calm and drifting drone and acousmatic sentiments from Richard Ginns on his sophomore release, ‘Sea Change’. The album is intended to be accompanied by a series of photographic images inspired by the memory of childhood visits to the seaside, but this is a digital release so you’ll have to get on google images and fill in the gaps yourself. As you might imagine, the music is focussed on blurry, breezy tonal shifts to stimulate the sensation of fondness and memory, and tempered with scrabbling percussion to counter the subtlety of his sweeping synth washes.
